The i7 950 Processor Review
One trick I have found after reviewing a lot of products is to go straight to Amazon and read the reviews of that product there. I have discovered that this gives a good initial notion of the value of the product. Here the reviewers have more often than not bought the product and used it, thus their opinions are well worth considering.
So I was very much encouraged after reviewing the reviews on Amazon for the i7 950 when I realized it had a 5 star rating and 43 people had reviewed it. Actually only one lone reviewer awarded it 4 stars while everybody else gave it 5 stars.
So the first one I assessed properly was this single four star award. It appears that this reviewer used his existing cooling fan and not the one supplied with the processor. He was very positive and enthusiastic about the i7 950 itself. As a result he felt he couldn’t give the full 5 star assessment as he hadn’t actually used all the equipment.
It has to be noted that the general judgement is that there is one issue with the i7 950 processor. Nearly all people would advise the use of a high specification fan cooler instead of the one supplied, especially if you plan to overclock the processor.
It quickly became obvious that the i7 950 was very well received by most users and testers who have assessed this product. It has created for itself a lot of positive feedback because of its ease of installation, its ability to be overclocked, its stability even when overclocked and its performance. The final clincher is the price, which, compared to the market average, makes it a very attractive proposition.
