Getting Fit Involves More than Exercising but Exercising is Integral to Getting Fit!
Getting fit and healthy is more complicated than starting to exercise a few times a week. Of course exercise is still important. Your body needs exercise to keep its muscles and joints working correctly. The truth is that real fitness involves making healthy lifestyle choices too. There is more to truly being fit than only working out. Obviously developing a regular workout routine is also important. The good news is that anybody can get fit and work out. Even if you haven’t ever worked out before, you can still put together a fitness regimen that will better your health and increase your athleticism. Here are some ideas to help you out.
For a great workout and fitness program I highly recommend the Turbulence Training Program by Craig Ballantyne. Craig has put together a fantastic workout system for both men and women and is designed to produce results that last.
Your meals should be nutritious, balanced and healthy. The healthier you make your diet, the easier it will be for you to get more fit. If all you eat is junk food or processed food, you aren’t moving toward fitness you are moving away–no matter how much exercise you do. Eating a good and balanced diet is the best way to make sure that you are getting all of the nutrients you need to keep your body healthy as you exercise and build up your muscles. Eating properly gives you a lot more energy for things like working out and increasing your physical fitness.
Remember that muscle weighs more than fat. You need to remember this fact especially if your primary goal is weight loss.
It is entirely possible to lose inches without losing a single pound–especially when you exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet. This is because your fat cells are shrinking while your muscles are increasing and getting stronger. Watch your measurements closely as you work out and increase your fitness. You might discover that your weight stays about the same while your pants size drops a lot! You need to remember this so that you don’t get discouraged while you work on getting fit.
I hate battling belly fat, but once the results start showing I can’t help but want more.
Start slowly and increase your training over time. Nobody is able to run ten miles when they first start working out. During the first weight training session nobody is able to lift a hundred pounds. Start slowly and simply and increase your workout routine’s intensity over time. Trying to go too far too fast you risk doing damage to your body. If you push your body too far you could really hurt it. Talk to a trainer or a doctor or a physical therapist if you need help figuring out a good starting point for your fitness routine. True fitness is a total body and mind state of being. You can do your fitness routine 365 days a year and if you are neglecting the rest of your life you won’t get any healthier. To really be fit you need to eat good food and make good lifestyle decisions. Obviously the exercise routine is also important. Work with an experienced fitness expert, use your brain and practice some common sense: eventually you will be fit as a fiddle.
